Lenin on Lebanon

Lenin's coverage of the situation in Lebanon over at the Tomb is quite remarkable. When I feel I have something to say to Lenin's merry band of trots (and trolls) I post there, as do a few other contributors.

I noticed from my tracker that my hits have almost doubled over the last week or so. One hit in particular interested me. It came from google and the person was googling "civilians in Lebanon" only without the quotes. "Civilians in Lebanon" is a google "News results item." So it looks like this:

News results for civilians in lebanon - View today's top stories
Civilians can't escape the flames of conflict in Lebanon - Radio Netherlands - 7 hours ago
Israel pounds Lebanon, civilians fear worse to come - Reuters - 16 hours ago
Arbour warns against the killing of civilians - Toronto Star - 16 hours ago

It then has the other sites listed as it does when the item isn't major news. Well this particular hit either read the first three sites and found them wanting, or skipped them altogether and checked the non-mainstream sites. My point here is that people seem not to be trusting the mainstream media for either news or analysis and explanation. So if you have come here looking for news and analysis on the situation in Lebanon and you don't trust the mainstream media, go check out Lenin's Tomb. Unlike mine, his is not a specifically anti-zionist blog. I think generalist is the word. So if you appreciate what he says on the Middle East you might want to make the Tomb a regular port of call.

Anyway back to Lebanon.
